Autopilot
Autopilot opens hedged funding pairs across two venues on ProFunding's servers, collects the funding and closes them on its own.
Autopilot runs funding-rate carry for you on ProFunding's servers. You pick a strategy, the venues and a size. It opens hedged pairs, collects the funding difference, switches to a better pair when that pays, and closes on its own, with your browser closed.
A pair is a long on one venue and a short on the same coin on another venue. Price moves on the two legs mostly cancel, and what is left is the funding between them. If you want exchange points from volume instead, use Farming.
How a session trades
Once a minute, the engine checks every pair across your selected venues, using the same funding data as the Screener. For each one it decides whether to open, hold, switch or close, and records the decision with a plain-language reason.
- Opening: a pair's carry has to hold for a while first (shown as confirming), and pass depth and spread checks at your size. A session holds one position per coin. Where a venue supports it, the open rests a maker order on one leg and places the other leg once it fills.
- Holding: it stays in while the pair pays, and rides out a dip when that costs less than exiting.
- Switching: it moves to a better pair when the gain clearly beats the cost of switching, and checks the new pair can open before closing the old one.
- Closing: when the carry fades and stays low, funding turns against it, the venues' prices diverge, or the rate feed is lost.
Get access
Autopilot is in a supervised pilot, so you need an access code. Ask for one in the ProFunding Telegram chat. Codes are personal and work once.
- Open Autopilot and click Connect. Sign once with your wallet (the same sign-in as Trade; it places no order).
- Paste the code after the PF- prefix.
- Click Unlock.
Access belongs to the wallet you signed in with. Another wallet needs its own code.
Set up a session
Everything starts on the Setup tab. The headline reads as a sentence, for example "Medium can hold about X% APR with 22 venues selected." Click the strategy or the venue count to change them.
Strategy
| Strategy | How it trades |
|---|---|
| Safe | Only proven, steady carry. Waits longest, leaves earliest. Expect long stretches with nothing open |
| Medium | Balanced. Holds a good carry through noise instead of churning. The default |
| Risky | Chases funding spikes, with a hard time stop. Listed, but can't be started while it is retuned |
Safe and Medium open no new stock or index pairs over the weekend, while the underlying market is shut. Positions already open are not touched.
Venues
Autopilot trades 22 venues: Hyperliquid, Aster, Extended, Lighter, Lighter RH, Pacifica, GRVT, Nado, Hibachi, n1xyz, TradeXYZ, Entropy, Variational, RISEx, Ondo, Perpl, Phoenix, TxFlow, PopDEX, QFEX, Bulk and Arcus. Safe starts with the six majors (Hyperliquid, Aster, Extended, Lighter, Pacifica and GRVT); Medium starts with all 22. Pick at least two. On QFEX it trades a fixed list of markets, and on Arcus crypto markets only.
Size
The Size section reads "Up to 2 positions at once, $500 a side, at 3×." Click a value to change it.
| Setting | What it sets |
|---|---|
| Positions at once | How many pairs the session holds at the same time: 1, 2 or 3 |
| Size a side | The notional each leg opens. At $500 a side, a position is a $500 long on one venue and a $500 short on another |
| Leverage | 1×, 2× or 3×. Margin per leg is size a side divided by leverage |
With the defaults, each leg posts about $167 of margin. Each venue needs that margin plus 25% headroom for fees and adverse moves, about $208.
Your venues
Two ready venues are enough to start. A venue that isn't ready shows its state and a fix: Connect, Sign in, Read again, Deposit, or Approve for a one-time builder fee approval (asked on Pacifica, Hyperliquid and Aster; TradeXYZ and Entropy share the Hyperliquid approval). Connect and Deposit open the same windows as Trade. If a venue is connected from more than one wallet, Trade on wallet picks which one the session uses.
The preview
The panel on the right shows what the engine would do with your setup this minute.
| Figure | What it shows |
|---|---|
| It can hold | The median carry APR of the pairs that clear your strategy right now, before round-trip costs. Not a past result |
| Right now | Up to 4 qualifying pairs with their net APR and status: opens now, confirming, timing (waiting for a cheaper entry) or queued (waiting for a free slot) |
| A month | Size a side × positions × It can hold ÷ 12. A projection from today's pairs, not a measurement |
| Margin and Posted | Margin per leg, and the margin working with every slot full |
If nothing qualifies, you can still start. The session waits and opens when a pair does.
Click Start live session. If the button is disabled, its label says why: fewer than two venues, no size, over the pilot cap, or fewer than two ready venues.
Pilot limits
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Positions at once | Up to 3 |
| Size a side | Up to $500 |
| Leverage | 1× to 3× |
| Live sessions | One per wallet |
| Daily realized loss | $50. After that, nothing new opens until the next UTC day; open positions still exit on their own |
Sessions are live: they place real orders on your venue accounts.
Watch a running session
The Running tab shows each open position as a lane: the coin, the long and short venues, what it has made so far, size and leverage, time held, the APR it entered at and now, funding collected, and the cost to close it now. A carry fading badge appears when the current carry is below 80% of the entry carry; it is a hint, the engine decides when to exit.
The Decisions feed lists opens, closes with their reason and result, switches, skips and holds, newest first.
| Figure | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Made so far | Funding collected minus every cost, including the cost of closing what is open now |
| Next payment | Funding over the next hour at today's rates. An estimate; each venue pays on its own schedule |
| Funding and Costs | Funding collected, and fees and depth for every round trip |
| Trades | Closed trades, and how many made money |
Closed trades are booked from venue fills. Where a fee or funding figure couldn't be read at the close, the trade uses the published fee rate or an estimate, and the Telegram close message marks it with a *. Funding on open positions is an estimate until the position closes.
A session's rules are fixed while it runs. The one thing you can change is which wallet a venue trades on (Change wallets); it applies to new entries only.
You can also close a position Autopilot manages yourself, from Trade or with Find the Exit. Autopilot sees the close and frees the slot.
Pause and stop
Pause makes the session hold-only: open positions stay open and still close on their own, and nothing new opens until you click Resume.
Stop asks first, with the number of positions and an estimate of the cost to close them. It closes every open position at market and moves the session to History. It can't be resumed. If a position can't be closed, the session stays on Running and keeps trying every minute; check the venue and click Stop again once it's closed.
Telegram alerts
If your wallet is linked to the Telegram bot, Autopilot sends DMs under the Autopilot category: session started, each open, each close with its reason and result, switches, low balance on a venue, a daily recap from 06:00 UTC, session stopped, and problems such as "One leg failed to open, so the other was closed".
History and sharing
Stopped sessions land on the History tab with their dates, size, trades, funding, costs and why they ended. Show its N trades lists each trade with its entry APR, result and close reason. Set up the same copies the rules back into Setup.
Share builds a 1200 × 630 PNG with the result after every cost, funding earned, run time and trade count, in dollars or as return on margin (not annualized). Registered affiliates can add their referral link.
Risks
- Funding can flip against a position, and that can cost money before the exit closes it.
- The two legs sit on two venues whose prices can drift apart. Leverage sets how far each leg is from liquidation.
- One leg can fail to open. Autopilot then closes the other leg. If that close fails, it keeps retrying and tells you on Telegram. Check the venue when you get that message.
- A separate backstop watches every live position even if the engine goes quiet. When it closes one, the DM reads "Position Auto-Closed" and names the trigger.
- It can hold, A month and Next payment are estimates from today's rates, not results.
Your funds stay in your venue accounts. A live session trades with the venue keys saved to your wallet, the same keys you use on Trade. See Wallets and keys. Its orders pay each venue's trading fees, plus ProFunding's builder fee on venues where orders carry one.
Expect losing trades and idle days. Judge a session on its total in History, after every cost.
FAQ
How do I get access to Autopilot?
Autopilot is in a supervised pilot and needs a personal access code, which you ask for in the ProFunding Telegram chat. Redeem it once on the Autopilot page; access then stays with that wallet.
What are the Autopilot pilot limits?
Up to 3 positions at once, up to $500 a side, 1× to 3× leverage, one live session per wallet, and a $50 daily cap on realized losses.
What happens to open positions when I stop a session?
Stop closes every open position at market and moves the session to History. Pause instead keeps positions open and lets them exit on their own while nothing new opens.
